"Mentally, [the treatment] gives you a release on life and something to look forward to."

John, a 47 year-old man from America, travelled to Bangkok to undergo Regenerative Treatment, which was an option unavailable to him in the United States. John received a personalised Treatment Plan that yielded positive improvements.

John's Story

After John was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), he went on a search for any available treatment options that could help him. His futile search back home in the United States led him to look further afield, which is when he discovered Unique Access Medical in Thailand. Upon a recommendation by a former patient at Unique Access, John decided to make the journey to Bangkok for his own treatment.

John’s Treatment Experience

John’s personalised Treatment Protocol consisted of Cellular Therapy via IV and injections, Vitamin Therapy, Protein Shots, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Aquatic Therapy, Acupuncture and Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS). The aim was not only to slow down the progression of the disease, but to also help John regain some mobility that had been lost as a result of damage to his nerve cells, caused by the onset of his ALS.

Moreover, John also paid a special appreciation towards the clean facilities and attentive staff, as well as the safe environment in Thailand.

“I believe the doctors, the nurses, and everybody at this facility believe in what they are doing.”

What is Physiotherapy?

Physical Therapy (PT), or also known as physiotherapy, is one of the commonly practiced rehabilitation techniques amongst patients with neurodegenerative, musculoskeletal conditions and Spinal Cord Injuries. PT is a highly effective method used to restore mobility, functionality, and reduce pain. Physiotherapy also helps to restore and develop muscle mass and strength, and to prevent further loss in muscle mass from occurring.

John's Improvements Following Treatment

After just 12 days following his initial treatment in Bangkok, John noticed that he was able to straighten three of his fingers in his left hand and also witnessed more movement in his thumb. As a result of Regenerative Treatment, John also had more energy.

Living Life More Independently

Whilst ALS currently has no cure, Regenerative Treatment has proven to be effective in alleviating many symptoms experienced by patients with the condition, allowing them to live life more independently.

John’s improvements following Regenerative Treatment serve as an inspiration to all people with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
