Emma, a 35 year-old woman from America, was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Emma’s Story
After Emma was diagnosed with ALS in her 30s, she and her husband set out on a search for medical assistance to treat her. What is Aqua Therapy?
Aquatic Therapy is one of the therapeutic intervention that is carried out in a pool. It is performed by a highly well-trained Physiotherapists, who carefully design a rehabilitation program for each patient with musculoskeletal and neurological diseases. With the unique properties of water, the patients’ body are fully supported and flexibility is fully enhanced. Generally, Aquatic Therapy works to improve stability, improvement, muscular strength and functions amongst the patients.

Following treatment, she noticed an immediate improvement in her ability to speak and found it much easier to do so.
